ST. LOUIS, MO (May 8, 2026) — Nationwide employment law firm Jackson Lewis P.C. is pleased to announce Erin M. Salfen has joined the firm as principal in its St. Louis office, bringing a decade of litigation and trial experience.
“Erin is an experienced litigator and trusted advisor to employers, and her background is incredibly valuable,” said Carolyn G. Burnette and Ana C. Shields, co-leaders of the firm’s Employment Litigation group. “Her arrival at the firm not only strengthens our ability to handle challenging employment litigation matters across the country but also enhances the support we provide to our clients.”
Erin represents employers across a wide range of civil matters including breach of contract, partnership disputes, unfair competition, trade secret and restrictive covenant claims, and other business issues, with a focus on employment litigation and M&A due diligence. She has represented employers in state and federal courts, securing summary judgment in high-stakes, multi-million-dollar cases. She has a strong track record of favorable trial and appellate outcomes, including early dismissals in ADA, Title VII and whistleblower matters in both single-plaintiff and class action cases. She also maintains a robust labor practice, negotiating collective bargaining agreements, defending employers in arbitrations and representation election matters, guiding employers through union organizing efforts and representing clients before the NLRB. In addition, Erin advises clients on labor and employment issues arising from mergers, acquisitions, sales and divestitures.
In addition to her litigation work, Erin advises clients on compliance and risk management, including conducting pre-litigation investigations, developing contract best practices and responding to workplace complaints involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation and wage and hour issues. She regularly assists employers with drafting and revising employment policies, employee handbooks and internal procedures. A Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), Erin also provides proactive counsel on international, federal and state data privacy requirements, as well as compliance with OSHA and other workplace safety regulations. She also regularly presents on developments in employment law and appellate practice.
“We are thrilled to welcome Erin to the firm,” said St. Louis Office Managing Principal Jessica L. Liss. “Her arrival reflects our continued investment in building our litigation capabilities in St. Louis. Erin’s depth of experience in high-stakes litigation and client counseling will be an immediate asset to both our clients and our growing office.”
Erin’s arrival follows Joseph M. Wientge Jr., who joined Jackson Lewis as a principal in the St. Louis office from Littler Mendelson, underscoring the firm’s continued growth in the Missouri market.
Erin received her J.D. from St. Louis University, her M.S. from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and her B.A. from Tulane University.
