Biography

Adriana M. Paris is an Associate in the Tampa, Florida office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Ms. Paris focuses her practice on class and collective actions in state and federal courts, and other employment-related litigation involving claims of discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and wrongful discharge. 

Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, she practiced with an AmLaw 100 firm, where she defended companies in complex litigation, including products liability and environmental tort matters. She served as a senior associate on ten trial teams throughout the State of Florida and played a significant role in the post-trial and appellate process. Ms. Paris has experience in all stages of trial preparation, including fact investigation, depositions, motion practice and discovery strategies.

Ms. Paris also worked as a Director of Litigation at Checkers & Rally’s, the largest double drive-thru quick service restaurant company in the country. She oversaw all of the company’s litigation and threatened litigation, including employment discrimination, wage and hour, personal injury, franchisee disputes, and other contractual disputes. She represented the company before various governmental agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the National Labor Relations Board, the Department of Labor and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and she mediated numerous cases on behalf of Checkers & Rally’s. Ms. Paris also managed the company’s general liability and workers’ compensation programs. She played an integral part in the company’s preparation for a private equity sale.

In addition to her litigation practice, Ms. Paris serves as pro bono attorney to children in foster care and children in delinquency court. As a dedicated attorney for children, she has presented at pro bono training sessions and has teamed up with in-house attorneys to represent foster children. While attending law school, Ms. Paris was awarded the Chester H. Ferguson Scholarship and was a member of the Delta Epsilon Iota Academic Honor Society and Jessup Moot Court.

Ms. Paris was born in Romania and moved to the United States with her family as a teenager. She is fluent in Romanian and conversational in Spanish.
