H. Matthew Blasko is an associate in the Greenville, South Carolina, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. His practice focuses on representing employers in workplace law matters, including preventive advice and counseling.

Matthew is committed to achieving positive outcomes for clients. He is dedicated to understanding the issues and trends impacting his clients’ businesses in order to tailor solutions to meet their unique needs.

Matthew works closely with businesses to address the labor and employment issues facing them. Matthew’s practice primarily consists of litigating cases on behalf of companies, including wage and hour disputes, non-compete violations, and discrimination and retaliation claims brought under the ADA, ADEA, and Title VII. Matthew has a record of successfully defending against OSHA citations and whistleblower complaints. His practice also includes defending companies in class and collective actions.

In addition to his litigation practice, Matthew also provides proactive counseling to companies on best practices for compliance with labor and employment laws, including developing company policies and procedures. Matthew drafts severance agreements, conducts internal investigations, and provides training to employees and management.

Matthew is a member of the Workplace Safety and Health and Class Actions and Complex Litigation practice groups. He is also involved in the construction industry group.

During law school, Matthew interned in the legal department of a Fortune 500 company, where he worked on a wide range of labor and employment matters.
