Biography

Jenifer Bologna is a principal in the White Plains, New York, office of Jackson Lewis P.C.

Jenifer is a member of Jackson Lewis’ Disability, Leave and Health Management group. She specializes in preventative advice and counsel primarily related to disability and leave management issues. Jenifer helps employers navigate the complex and growing body of federal, state and local laws, most notably the Family and Medical Leave Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act, that impact an employer’s response to employees who are injured or ill, have family care responsibilities or need time to bond with children. In addition, Jenifer regularly assists employers with policy and process development, including absence management and accommodation process improvement strategies.

Jenifer’s extensive counseling experience allows her to provide nuanced advice that helps employers effectively respond to the legal and business challenges posed by the varying array of workplace disability, leave and health management issues. Utilizing creative legal strategies and practical advice, Jenifer guides clients through complex disability and leave issues that often demand individualized solutions. Central to Jenifer's advice is the goal of minimizing litigation risk through the implementation of preventative strategies and constructive solutions that aim to balance an employer’s need to conduct business with an employee’s potentially competing medical, family or personal needs.

In addition to advice and counsel, Jenifer frequently speaks on disability and absence management issues, including regularly conducting workplace training on these issues.
