Jessica C. Källström-Schreckengost

Biography

Jessica Källström-Schreckengost is an Associate in the Omaha, Nebraska, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Her practice is focused on representing management in all aspects of employment litigation and preventative counseling.

Ms. Källström-Schreckengost represents a broad range of clients before administrative agencies, including the Nebraska Equal Opportunity Commission, the Iowa Civil Rights Commission, and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.  She also regularly litigates on behalf of her clients in both state and federal courts.

In addition to her litigation practice, Ms. Källström-Schreckengost works with employers to conduct internal investigations and management trainings.  Her goal is to help employers get in front of issues and give managers the tools and information they need to avoid litigation.  In particular, Ms. Källström-Schreckengost focuses her counseling and training practice on harassment prevention, as well as how to onboard and retain transgender or transitioning employees.

Ms. Källström-Schreckengost is committed to providing legal services for underrepresented communities.  She maintains an active pro bono practice representing transgender individuals, domestic violence victims, and others seeking legal name changes. 

While attending law school, Ms. Källström-Schreckengost was a Tischler Scholar and served as a judicial extern to two justices of the New Jersey Supreme Court. She was also the recipient of the Morris Gann Prize for excellence in the area of Evidence Law. Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Ms. Källström-Schreckengost was a litigation and enforcement associate in the New York City office of a large international firm.

Ms. Källström-Schreckengost is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hiking, swimming, and gardening.  She spends most of her free time wrangling her four children, including a set of triplets.
