Biography

Michael C. Mohler is an Associate in the Indianapolis, Indiana, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Michael defends clients in workplace discrimination matters as well as complex and ERISA class actions. Always hoping to help his clients avoid litigation, he proactively helps them craft and implement policies addressing Title VII, ADA, ADEA, OSHA and FSLA issues.

Michael has spent the last several months serving on the Jackson Lewis COVID-19 response team, providing advice and counsel on safety and return-to-work procedures. He understands that employers need practical guidance as well as legal advice as the effects of the pandemic continue to broaden and proliferate.

Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Michael clerked for Magistrate Judge Tim A. Baker of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana. During his time with Judge Baker, he drafted dispositive and non-dispositive orders, many of which concerned discovery and employment law issues.

While attending law school, Michael realized great personal satisfaction working in his school’s Workers’ Rights Clinic, assisting in pro bono representation of employees in wage and hour and discrimination claims. He gained additional workplace law experience clerking for a Phoenix law firm, helping to defend wage and hour claims and successfully prosecuting non-compete agreements. Michael was a member of the University of Arizona’s Transactional Law Meet team and the Arizona Law Review.
