Jump to:

Paul Lukas is a principal in the Minneapolis, Minnesota, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. With three decades of trial experience, Paul is a valued advocate for clients in fast-paced and high-stakes litigation, consistently delivering successful results. His unwavering commitment to meeting clients' business goals makes him a formidable presence in the courtroom.

Raised alongside eight siblings by his mother and father, a self-employed cabinetmaker, Paul gets work and brings a practical, business-focused background to every case. Paul's approach is as people-centered as it is performance-driven. Paul appreciates that every case is a story with two sides and sees it as his job to unravel unanswered questions and reveal a compelling story on behalf of his client. For Paul, being a member of his client's business team is about consistency, trust, and providing a guiding voice through oftentimes emotional workplace disputes.

After spending years on the plaintiff side of employment litigation, Paul brings a unique perspective, having experience on both sides of the V. From trying individual employment cases to complex multi-million-dollar class actions, Paul consistently leverages his experience on the plaintiff side and preference for trial as a critical tool that drives results to address organizations' legal risks. Paul represents employers in disputes involving discrimination based on age, race, national origin, and sex, as well as sexual harassment, retaliation, whistleblower, breach of contract, minority shareholder, non-compete, and breach of fiduciary duty cases. Paul thrives on the energy and precision required by multi-jurisdictional advocacy in the constantly changing landscape of employment law.

Paul's charisma and fondness for the practice of law, and those who practice it, have made him not only a nationally recognized litigator but also a popular lecturer on employment, consumer, ERISA, and civil litigation strategies.

Paul extends his passion for advocacy to his pro bono work, where he collaborates with the Children's Law Center to help children have a legal voice. While Paul has dedicated his professional life to the law, he is equally dedicated to his three daughters and son.
