Jackson Lewis Attorneys Named Among Leading Immigration Lawyers by Lawdragon

NEW YORK, NY (May 27, 2025) Nationwide employment law firm Jackson Lewis P.C. is pleased to announce Michael H. Neifach, Otieno M. Ombok and Amy L. Peck have been featured on the 2025 Lawdragon 100 Leading Immigration Lawyers list, marking the third consecutive year the attorneys earned this recognition. Michael is the managing principal of Jackson Lewis’ Washington, D.C. Region office. A recognized leader on immigration, visa and border security matters, Michael exclusively practices immigration law and is a former co-leader of the firm’s Immigration group. He brings deep government experience, serving as general counsel of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) from 2007 to 2009 having held senior roles at the White House Homeland Security Council and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Representing a variety of corporate and individual clients, Michael advises on workplace compliance, visa processing challenges and strategic engagement with government agencies.
 

Otieno is co-leader of Jackson Lewis’ Immigration group and a principal in the firm’s White Plains, NY, office. With nearly 25 years at the firm, Otieno advises on immigration strategy, counseling and implementation, working closely with employers to structure their immigration programs and develop long-term visa strategies and counseling on I-9, E-Verify and outbound immigration matters. He has extensive experience securing non-immigrant work visas and employment-based immigrant visas for professionals, managers and specialized skill employees. Before joining the firm, he led education and governance programs in Africa and taught business law in Kenya. Amy is co-leader of the firm’s Immigration group and a principal in the firm’s Omaha office. She has more than 35 years of experience—including 17 years running her own immigration firm. Amy’s practice focuses on complex immigration and workplace compliance issues, particularly those that intersect employment and immigration law. She is nationally recognized for her leadership in the field, having served 12 years on the Board of Governors of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), chaired several national AILA committees and currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the American Immigration Council.
