Jackson Lewis Names Veronica T. Hunter Managing Principal of Austin Office
AUSTIN, TX (August 14, 2025) — Nationwide employment law firm Jackson Lewis P.C. is pleased to announce Veronica T. Hunter has been named managing principal of the firm’s Austin office. Veronica succeeds Mitchell F. Boomer, who will focus on his growing litigation practice.
“Veronica’s dedication, leadership and deep understanding of our clients’ needs make her an ideal choice to lead our Austin office,” said Firm Chair Kevin Lauri. “Since joining Jackson Lewis in 2013, she has excelled in Denver, Houston and now Austin, bringing a breadth of experience enhanced by her earlier career in human resources. Over the past year, she has worked closely with Mitch to manage the office while building strong relationships with local and state bar associations, further strengthening our presence in Austin. Veronica also serves as a principal in the firm’s Houston and Denver offices and as litigation manager for the Houston office. She represents employers exclusively in labor and employment matters, with significant experience defending wage and hour class actions, discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination and systemic discrimination claims.

In addition to her litigation work, Hunter advises clients on investigations, terminations, disciplinary actions, compliance audits and policy development, and conducts workplace training on harassment and discrimination prevention and leave law compliance.
Hunter earned her J.D. from Loyola Law School Los Angeles and her B.S. from California State University.
