Dana S. Elfvin

Biography

Dana S. Elfvin is an associate in the Chicago, Illinois office of Jackson Lewis P.C. She advises and represents employers in a broad range of workplace law matters.  

Dana regularly represents employers before state and federal courts and administrative agencies, defending claims including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful discharge, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, non-competition, non-solicitation, and trade secrets. She also counsels management on handling everyday employment issues related to hiring and firing, personnel policies, wage and hour laws, workplace investigations, restrictive covenants, religious and disability accommodation, and medical leave.  

Additionally, Dana provides guidance to clients regarding their obligations under the National Labor Relations Act, and represents employers opposing union organizing and defending unfair labor practice charges.  

During law school, Dana was an editor for The Ohio State Journal on Dispute Resolution and served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Gregory L. Frost at the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. 

Dana applies the discipline, collaboration, and tenacity she developed playing NCAA Division I Lacrosse to serve clients’ best interests in her law practice.
