Diana Lerma
Diana Lerma is a principal in the Los Angeles office of Jackson Lewis P.C. She has grounded her practice in two immutable principles – client service excellence and delivering sound and defensible legal resolutions to every dispute that threatens workplace stability. To fulfill the promise of her practice is not a 9 to 5 proposition and Diana takes the time to become imbedded in a company's culture, history and future goals to craft practical, tailored strategies.
As a first-generation Mexican American and the daughter of a backhoe operator who learned English alongside her parents, Diana’s background has notably shaped her perspective as a trial attorney. Diana draws on her life lessons to bring that same balance of hard work, honesty, and dedication to every client relationship leveraging her personal and professional background for employers in the hospitality industry and others. Known for her ability to connect with juries and deliver results, she brings a blend of past experience and present practice to successfully represent employers in complex litigation, class actions and PAGA matters. Her practice emphasizes not only achieving favorable outcomes but also building enduring partnerships grounded in trust and results in one of the nation’s most complex employment law environments.
Her career journey in the law crystallized during her first jury trial when her father sat in the courtroom, sketching the scene as she examined a witness because cameras were not permitted. His pride reflected the resilience, discipline, and hard work that defined her upbringing and continue to guide her practice.
