Scott A. Carroll
Scott A. Carroll is a principal of the Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio, offices of Jackson Lewis P.C. He is a former member of the firm's Board of Directors.
Scott represents clients across the spectrum of labor and employment law, including wrongful discharge litigation, collective bargaining, union avoidance, and human resources counseling for multi-state and multi-national employers. He has expertise in Sarbanes-Oxley and Dodd-Frank matters as well as multi-plaintiff employment cases.
Scott lectures frequently on all aspects of labor and employment law matters. Scott serves on the National Board of Directors for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). His service to LLS in Cincinnati and nationally began in 2005.
During law school, he was a member of the University of Cincinnati Law Review. After law school, he clerked for The Honorable Sandra S. Beckwith in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio from 1993-1995.
Representative Experience
- Serving as national employment counsel for a variety of businesses, particularly in the financial services and pharmaceutical industry
- Serving as national employment counsel for hospital systems with facilities throughout the United States
- Investigating and securing dismissal of Sarbanes Oxley whistleblower cases
- Defeating class certification in race and sex harassment cases
- Obtaining victories, including significant financial recovery for a large financial institution and a software company based in California, on theft of trade secret/non-compete matters
