Special Report Available: New Jersey COVID-19 Resource Guide

New Jersey has emerged as one of the hardest hit states by the COVID-19 crisis. In response, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy has issued 12 Executive Orders (and counting), some completely closing or substantially limiting the operations of many businesses. New Jersey also expanded protections and benefits for affected workers through swift-moving legislation. At the federal level, two sweeping legislations responding to the crisis were enacted.

Businesses are attempting to ensure the safety of their employees while adjusting to operational challenges, revenue declines, and changing legal obligations at breakneck speed.

While the dust is hardly settled, and additional changes and directives are expected, New Jersey businesses need to understand what happened, their obligations in this ever-changing environment, and how their companies are affected.

The attorneys in Jackson Lewis’ Berkeley Heights and Monmouth County offices have prepared a Resource Guide, available to clients upon request. The Resource Guide is designed to provide a comprehensive reference on the impact of the New Jersey’s COVID-19 Executive Orders, recommended response protocols for actual or suspected COVID-19 infections in the workplace; the benefits and protections afforded to employees under state and federal law, potential assistance for struggling businesses, and the challenges to come.

Please reach out to the Jackson Lewis attorney with whom you work for additional details on obtaining the Resource Guide.
