Lori D. Bauer Named Office Managing Principal of Jackson Lewis’ New York City Office

NEW YORK, NY (July 13, 2018) Jackson Lewis P.C., one of the country’s preeminent workplace law firms, is pleased to announce Lori D. Bauer has been appointed Managing Principal of the New York City office. Ms. Bauer succeeds Kevin G. Lauri, who stepped down to focus on his upcoming tenure as Co-Chair of the firm alongside William J. Anthony, effective January 1, 2019.

“I would like to congratulate Lori on this well-deserved appointment,” said Firm Chairman Vincent A. Cino. “Since she joined the firm in 1988, she has displayed strong leadership qualities and contributed an invaluable amount of enthusiasm, professionalism and commitment to the firm. I am confident that our New York City office will continue to do great things under her watch.”

Ms. Bauer has served as Jackson Lewis’ New York City Office Litigation Manager since 1999 and devotes her time to counseling management in a wide variety of employment matters and litigating employment claims before administrative agencies and state and federal courts. Her litigation practice includes, but is not limited to, claims of discrimination, sexual harassment, breach of contract, retaliation, and violation of whistle-blower protections, and wage and hour laws. In her counseling practice, Ms. Bauer regularly advises employers on issues such as best practice employment policies, disability management, reductions in force, privacy in the workplace, terminations, restrictive covenants, executive hiring and separations and performance management.

“I am honored to follow in Kevin’s footsteps,” said Ms. Bauer. “It is a privilege to lead the office forward on a path of continued growth and success, and I look forward to continuing to work with our team of talented attorneys as we continue to provide exceptional service to our clients.”

Ms. Bauer received her B.S. from Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations and her J.D. from Boston University.

Diane Windholz, a litigator at Jackson Lewis who also joined the firm in 1988, has succeeded Ms. Bauer as the office’s Litigation Manager. Since joining the firm, she has been engaged exclusively in employment litigation and is currently a member of Jackson Lewis’ Corporate Diversity Counseling Practice Group. In addition to her litigation practice, Ms. Windholz regularly conducts training sessions on a variety of topics including sexual harassment, hiring and firing, avoiding employment litigation, employee discipline, employee evaluations, discrimination, and how to conduct internal investigations.
