Ann L. Zebrowski is an associate in the Omaha, Nebraska, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Ann is an experienced litigator and trial attorney who brings a common sense, client centered, approach to the practice of law.

Born in New York and raised in Iowa, Ann began her legal career in Iowa’s capital city of Des Moines. As an associate attorney at a private Des Moines law firm, she defended lawsuits alleging professional malpractice, products liability, property, breach of contract, and wrongful death claims filed against local and national clients. She also served as local counsel for national and international companies in state, federal, and administrative proceedings in the state of Iowa. From there, Ann moved to the role of trial attorney at a captive law firm for a national insurance company. In that capacity, she represented insureds and the insurance company in all aspects of litigation and learned to effectively navigate a large case load in a fast-paced environment.

Following that, Ann worked as corporate counsel for a privately held, Iowa-based, transportation and logistics company with countrywide operations. As corporate counsel, she oversaw litigated personal injury and workers’ compensation claims from coast to coast. She collaborated with local attorneys to defend and resolve those claims, ensuring consistency in the company’s position and defense across all claims. Working at this level gave Ann an appreciation of the many ways a single claim or lawsuit can drastically impact a company’s employees, business practices and operations, and bottom line.

As corporate counsel, Ann gained insight into the legal issues and challenges that employers face on a daily basis. Her work reinforced the importance of having defense counsel who took the time to learn about her company’s history, values, and culture and incorporated that knowledge into their litigation strategy.

Ann’s experience allows her to work comfortably and effectively with a wide range of individuals in a variety of situations. A consistent theme across her defense of a diverse client base was the fact that litigation can be an uncomfortable and foreign experience to those involved and, as a result, it is important to Ann that she ensures her clients have a solid grasp of the process and feel comfortable asking any questions they may have. Although Ann lives in Omaha, Nebraska and works out of the Omaha office, she is – and will always be – an unapologetic Iowa Hawkeye fan.
