
Brittany D. Masterson
Brittany D. Masterson is an associate in the Tampa, Florida, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. She focuses her practice on employment litigation and advising employers on various workplace legal issues.
Brittany zealously defends employers in actions involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblower, breach of contract, and wage claims before state and federal courts, administrative agencies, and arbitrators. She represents employers in various industries, including healthcare, property management and real estate, manufacturing, marketing, and transportation. She is committed to understanding her clients’ goals in order to achieve results, whether that means efficiently negotiating a favorable resolution or strategically positioning a case for victory at summary judgment or trial. Brittany takes pride in tactically managing litigation while fostering a deep understanding of her clients’ businesses and priorities.
Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Brittany worked for Florida’s largest insurance defense firm, where she handled cases through all stages of litigation, including trial.
While in law school, Brittany worked full-time as a law clerk for Portland, Oregon’s city transportation division. Brittany graduated early from Northwestern School of Law of Lewis & Clark College, where she competed in mock trial competitions, received the distinguished Securities Regulation Scholarship for her scholastic achievement, and served on the student body government. She also sat on the board of a local initiative to reduce violent crime and helped develop a legal program to provide pro bono representation for unhoused addicts on the path to recovery.
