Cooper Binsky is an associate in the New York City, New York, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. His practice focuses on representing employers in workplace law matters, including preventive advice and counseling.

Cooper’s passion for employment law was first ignited during his second year of law school when he clerked for an employment law firm.  Cooper has pursued this passion ever since, and draws on it to partner with clients in employment related issues.  Cooper graduated in the top nine percent of his law school class, served as a Senior Associate Editor for the Hofstra Law Review, and was a teaching assistant for legal writing and contracts.  Cooper also interned for Nassau County Supreme Court Justice Denise Sher.

Cooper handles all types of employment discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the New York State Division of Human Rights, and the New York City Commission on Human Rights.

Additionally, Cooper prosecutes and defends actions involving breach of non-competition and non-solicitation agreements, misappropriation of confidential information, unfair competition, and related business claims.  In 2022, Cooper was awarded the Most Valuable Player Award for the firm’s New York City softball team, which was last awarded in 1999.  Cooper considers this a great achievement and prominently displays the award in his office.
