Eric G. Guglielmotti

Eric G. Guglielmotti, our friend and colleague, passed away on March 3, 2021.

Eric was a principal in the firm’s Berkeley Heights, New Jersey office. Jackson Lewis was Eric’s home for his entire legal career. He was a talented labor attorney and litigator. In every phase of his life, Eric was a leader.

Eric epitomized the Jackson Lewis spirit, consistently putting others and the firm ahead of himself. Renowned by his peers and clients for his talent, insight, leadership, collaborative spirit and unfailingly positive attitude, he also was a caring and attentive mentor to many attorneys and staff.

While a student at Seton Hall University School of Law, Eric was one of the first recipients of Jackson Lewis’ Vincent A. Cino Scholarship. He worked with our firm during law school, joining the firm after the completion of a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Robert C. Wilson.

Eric was a resourceful and talented attorney; his focus and drive as an outstanding college athlete translated very well to his career as an attorney. Clients and colleagues trusted his judgment, knowledge and instincts.  Eric was a leader throughout his life and his career at Jackson Lewis was no exception. Although he was physically imposing  — a holdover from his college football days — he was kind and gentle. He exuded more strength from his approachability, sense of humor and disarming personality, than he did from his formidable intellect or size.  Eric enjoyed a good laugh and the company of his vast network of family and friends from every part of his life.  He was poised to be a firm leader and it was often said by those he worked with that they would all be working for him one day.  We still believe that would have happened —  if  only he had been blessed with more time.

Eric is survived by his wife Ryan and their son, Joey and an army of friends and colleagues who respected and appreciated him. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
