Jaime Sanchez is an associate in the Long Island, New York, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. His practice focuses on representing employers in workplace law matters, including pre-litigation claims and litigation, as well as preventive advice and counseling.

Jaime represents clients in employment litigation matters in state and federal court and before administrative agencies. He has experience handling wage and hour class and collective actions, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation matters.

Jaime’s interest in employment law developed while attending law school, where he participated in a legal clinic that allowed him to argue before administrative law judges at the Department of Labor. During law school, Jaime also completed an externship with an Administrative Law Judge at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.  

As a native of Bogota, Colombia, Jaime is a bilingual Spanish speaker and is also proficient in Italian. His Spanish language practice includes analyzing, interpreting, translating documents, and counseling clients in all aspects of employment and litigation matters. Jaime is also frequently called upon to conduct trainings on compliance with workplace regulations and employment statutes. 

Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, he was an associate at another labor and employment firm in Long Island, New York.
