Jeanette M. Piaget Figueroa is an associate in the Boston, Massachusetts, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Her practice focuses on defending employers in employment matters, such as employment discrimination, unpaid wages, contract disputes, and family and medical leave issues.

Jeanette has experience representing a wide range of clients in claims for sexual and racial harassment; pregnancy, disability, race, religious, and equal pay discrimination; wrongful discharge and contract violations, and violations of the ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, Title VII, and state statutes. She has represented employers in single and multi-plaintiff wage and hour and discrimination suits. Jeanette also has experience advising hospitals on religious accommodations and has defended employers in challenges to vaccination policies.

In addition to her litigation practice, Jeanette has experience conducting workplace investigations, counseling employers with respect to workplace diversity and inclusion related issues, analyzing employee data and policies, interviewing managers and employees, and reviewing existing policies for compliance with Title VII, the ADA, and the ADEA. She also assists with managing internal and external communications in response to diversity and inclusion related matters. A native Spanish-speaker with experience translating, she assists clients in conducting internal investigations with diverse workforces.

Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Jeanette clerked for the Massachusetts Appeals Court. While attending law school, Jeanette was chair of Latin American Law Student Association and was a member of the association’s Moot Court Team. In 2020, she competed in the Hispanic National Bar Association’s Moot Court Competition.
