
Jessica A. Maynard
Jessica Maynard is an associate in the Austin, Texas, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Her practice focuses on representing employers in complex workplace legal matters, including preventive advice and counseling. She provides litigation support and representation in management-side employment matters in courtrooms, mediations, arbitration, grievance hearings, and before administrative agencies.
Jessica developed her litigation practice across Texas courts and before administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Texas Workforce Commission. She has experience defending employers in various disputes, including workers’ compensation, leave and benefits, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination cases. Jessica has also advised employers on proper return-to-work strategies, reasonable accommodations, and developing best practices for employee management.
With a solid understanding of the issues and trends impacting employers, Jessica partners with her clients to develop current best practices and policies to enhance workplace culture. Leveraging her experience with the patchwork of state and federal employment laws and her knowledge of the ever-changing legal landscape, combined with her dedication to supporting clients through complex legal issues, Jessica helps employers stay up-to-date by providing training to employees and management, reviewing and revising employee handbooks, and advising clients inside and outside the courtroom.
Prior to Jackson Lewis, Jessica cultivated her litigation skills and employment law knowledge at firms in Austin, Texas, representing and assisting clients on day-to-day employment-related matters.
