Marcia Caridad Laurido Soto is an associate in the San Juan, Puerto Rico, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Her practice focuses on representing employers in workplace law matters, including preventive advice and counseling.

Marcia provides counsel on a variety of labor and employment law matters that encompasses the entire employer-employee relationship, guiding employers from a preventive point of view as to avoid or be prepared for potential litigation on issues such as wrongful termination, wage and hour, discrimination, retaliation and workplace harassment. She has effectively represented clients on these matters before federal, state and administrative forums, including the EEOC and the Puerto Rico Department of Labor, and handled unfair labor practice charges before the National Labor Relations Board. Marcia also assists employers to develop their employee handbooks and other workplace policies and provides counseling that extends from the hiring process to internal investigations and other matters over the ordinary course of the business.

During law school, Marcia was a teaching assistant to Professor Glenda Labadie Jackson and a member of the University of Puerto Rico Law Review. Marcia also was awarded the Notary Public Award.
