Nicole R. Kardassakis
Nicole R. Kardassakis is an associate in the Los Angeles, California, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Valued for her responsiveness and practicality, Nicole works together with employers from the outset of a matter to eliminate the disruption employment litigation can trigger by maximizing available legal options and minimizing risk by addressing employee concerns head-on.
Guiding and advising employers safely through the complicated terrain of workplace law and litigation requires a level of skill and confidence that comes with experience. She has defended employers in a variety of actions, from single-plaintiff lawsuits to class and representative actions involving claims of discrimination, retaliation, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour violations, and Private Attorneys General Act (“PAGA”) claims. With every matter, Nicole leverages her experience—long-honed—to bring about successful outcomes, however those are defined by each individual employer. Key to any litigation management strategy is proactive prevention, and Nicole collaborates with employers before a dispute arises by advising and counseling on effective and compliant workplace policies.
Nicole has served on the Board of Directors of the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law and is a current member of the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles. A graduate of Harvard Law School, she served as Managing Editor of Harvard Law & Policy Review as well as on the article selection committee for the Harvard Human Rights Journal and received the Dean’s Scholar Award in the American Jury course.
When she’s not in the office, Nicole can be found experimenting with new Lego sets, enjoying the latest titles in contemporary fiction, or caring for orchids she has rescued from various friends and family.
