Shauna Amon is a principal in the San Diego, California office of Jackson Lewis P.C. No matter the workplace law issue, Shauna focuses first and foremost on what employers value above all—a combination of practical business-oriented solutions and litigation avoidance.

Shauna advises clients across the spectrum of labor and employment law in the areas of harassment, discrimination, and retaliation; the interactive process and reasonable accommodations; medical leaves, disciplinary actions, and wage laws.  She has successfully helped her clients in numerous arbitrations, including grievance arbitrations, and various administrative appeals before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Civil Rights Department, Division of Labor Standards and Enforcement. Shauna also advises in areas of collective bargaining and has served as lead negotiator in numerous labor negotiations. Shauna has experience in administrative proceedings, including successfully defending unfair labor practice charges before the Public Employment Relations Board. 

An experienced investigator, Shauna has conducted investigations on a range of claims including allegations of workplace misconduct, discrimination, harassment, bullying and retaliation. She’s particularly skilled at all stages of Title IX investigations and proceedings and is a certified investigator through the Association of Workplace Investigators and the Association of Title IX Administrators. Her experience with educational institutions extends advising to K-12 districts, community colleges, and higher education clients on a variety of personnel and general education issues, including certificated and classified discipline and dismissal as well as workplace and student investigations.

Maintaining true to her focus on risk avoidance for clients, Shauna speaks to organizations and provides training for clients on harassment avoidance and personnel management. Outside of the office, Shauna can regularly be seen driving her golf cart around Coronado with her husband and two sons, Santiago and Story.
