Stephanie A. Kierig is an associate in the San Diego, California, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Stephanie defends clients in court and arbitration proceedings on a wide array of issues, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, and contractual matters. Stephanie also provides legal advice and counsel to help clients navigate business and legal challenges, such as policy implementation and enforcement and wage and hour compliance. Having spent her first five years of practice as a traditional labor lawyer representing unions, public employee associations, and their members, Stephanie’s experience provides a distinct perspective and understanding of the law that she uses to assist her clients in developing defense strategies.

Stephanie has been dedicated to her legal career from early on, studying political science and interning at a civil litigation firm as an undergrad, and obtaining experience as a litigation paralegal and law clerk before becoming an attorney.  Throughout law school, Stephanie worked at a local labor and employment law firm, where she second-chaired hearings before administrative agencies, aided associates in preparing cases for arbitration, and assisted in providing guidance to clients on a variety of employment-related issues. She was also a recipient of the Dean’s Scholarship and earned multiple CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Advanced Civil Discovery Practice, Advanced Legal Research, Adjudicatory Criminal Procedure, and Death Penalty in the United States.
