Zackary A. Blanton
Zackary A. Blanton is an associate in the Jacksonville, Florida, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. First exposed to labor and employment law during his early days in law school, Zackary knew that he had found his calling. Since that time, he has taken every opportunity to develop his skills and practice and is dedicated to helping employers create legally sound, productive workplaces through proactive counsel.
Zackary’s interest in workplace law took off during law school when he interned in the labor and employment division at a Fortune 500 aerospace and defense company. He leverages his in-house training to guide employers toward compliance solutions that serve to stabilize the employer-employee relationship and reduce risk. He also understands that knowing how a client’s business operates is a critical component of providing legal counsel and is a member of the firm’s Financial Services and Private Equity group.
Eager to gain experience in all facets of legal practice, Zackary views himself as a perpetual “student of the law.” Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Zackary worked for a national firm and externed for the Honorable Patricia D. Barksdale with the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. While in law school, he held several positions intended to prepare him for practice, including building partnerships with clients and helping him develop valuable skills as a writer, advocate, and counselor. Zackary was the Executive Managing Editor of the Journal of Technology Law and Policy and a teaching assistant for Legal Writing and Appellate Advocacy. He also served as a Student Aid at the University of Florida Gator TeamChild Juvenile Law Clinic, on the executive board for the John Marshall Bar Association, as an elected member of the Student Bar Association, a Levin Ambassador, and a Guardian ad Litem for the 8th Judicial Circuit.
